Your account name is the unique reference for your company. It will usually be a variation on your company name. All employees, admins and signatories on your Smart Pension account use the account name to sign in, and it forms the first part of the URL you see when you're signed in to your account.
I don't know my account name
You can enter your email address on this page to find your account name.
If we find a Smart Pension account associated with the email address you give us, we'll send you an email with a link to sign in. When you go to this link, your account name will be automatically filled in the Account Name field. You can make a note of this and use it to sign in from www.autoenrolment.co.uk next time.
I don't think I have an account name
We introduced company account names in November 2016. If your account was created before then, your account name is likely to be a string of numbers, rather than a variation of your company name. You can find out by following the steps above.
Can I change my account name?
Signatories, admins and advisers can change an account name. You might choose to do this if, for example, your company name changes.
If you're a signatory or admin on a Smart Pension account and would like to change the account name:
Go to the Menu and select Company details from the drop down.
Choose Company details again on the menu page.
Change your account name in the Company account name field of the form - your new account name must be unique.
Click the blue Update button at the bottom of the page. Your new account name is active as soon as you do this.
We don't inform your employees and other account users that the account name has changed. We recommend you let all the account users know that you've changed the account name as soon as you change it as they will need the new name to sign in. All previous account names will still be valid
